Free dress day (no uniform) for those who purchased a 20 rmb sticker to help Save the Rainforest www.rainforest-alliance.org.

Additionally, each grade level was encouraged to do a project connected to Earth Day. These are some examples of projects which were easily integrated into our curriculum:
1. Pre-Kindergarten students learned about endangered species and made posters about several of these species.
2. Kindergarten students received a sticker every time they drank from their own water bottle instead of using a plastic cup for water. They graphed and calculated saving 109 plastic cups in one week by creating this incentive!
3. 1st Graders began a campaign to raise funds to help save the rainforest.
4. 2nd Graders began a campaign to raise funds to help the Panda, a native endangered species of our host country.
5. 3rd graders made solar ovens from recycled pizza boxes and cooked hot dogs and s’mores on Earth Day!
6. 4th graders utilized recycled materials in integrating their castle building project connected to History.
7. Technology students created videos answering the question, “What can you do at home and/or school to help the Planet Earth?” These videos were shown throughout the week on our lobby monitor.
